My unexpected visit to 9Mary was prompted by the irresistible aroma of Indian cuisine wafting through the air. It felt like a culinary calling that I couldn't ignore. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a calm Sunday night scene with a handful of reserved tables and one attentive floor staff member.
The menu, thoughtfully organized, offered an array of enticing options. Opting for a spicy kick, I chose the Mutton Qorma. To complement it, I also ordered the Chicken Malai Tikka along with two pieces of naan.

While waiting, I couldn't help but notice the background music, which, though pleasant, felt a bit out of place in a restaurant adorned with stunning Queen Mary artwork. Despite the small detail, it didn't quite immerse me in the typical Indian dining experience.
When the food arrived, my anticipation soared. I eagerly took a bite of the qorma, only to be met with a slight disappointment. It resembled butter chicken more than the spicy, nutty notes I had anticipated from my mother's recipe. Nevertheless, I soldiered on and finished the dish.
